fear is an album by Toad the Wet Sprocket that Columbia Records released in 1991. The album was preceded by the single "Is It For Me", which failed to chart well.
Its best known single, the second commercial release "All I Want", which reached #15 on the Billboard Hot 100, helped launch their career. On November 6, 1992, fear was certified gold and on September 1, 1994, it was certified platinum.[2]

The sessions produced songs that were not released on fear. "Good Intentions" was released on the Friends television show soundtrack. Several of these outtakes were used as B-sides to the singles from fear and later appeared on the band's 1995 rarities compilation In Light Syrup. A number still remain unreleased.
